TDSS Technology - A New Standard in Water Treatment
Pontic Technology's TDSS (Total Disinfection and Sterilization System) outperforms traditional water treatment technologies. The industry has largely relied on reverse osmosis and membrane filtration systems, which are notorious for wasting water and incurring high operational costs. These systems not only require substantial energy, but also necessitate ongoing maintenance, including the frequent replacement of filters. Moreover, the effectiveness of membrane filtration is contingent upon the least effective filter in the system. If any filter fails, contaminants may remain in the water, compromising the quality and safety of the output.
TDSS Specifications (Base Model)
- TDSSg: approximately 60 pounds
- TDSSe: approximately 90 pounds
- TDSSg Base Model: produces 500 gallons per day (GPD)
- TDSSe Base Model: produces 300 GPD
- Both systems are scalable and customizable to meet specific client needs for germ-free, clean water and fluids.
- TDSSg utilizes propane (or other hydrocarbon fuels) as the heating source, coupled with a ½ horsepower pump (with 350 feet of head pressure) to generate the necessary internal pressure for sterilization, delivering up to 500 GPD at a maximum electrical power consumption of about 15 watts.
- TDSSe has a total power draw of 2000 watts (110/220 VAC - 27 amps max) and is equipped with a circulation heater.
- Can accept any recycled or fresh water source, including wells, aquifers, streams, rivers, lakes, sewage, or other fresh water delivery sources, regardless of the level of biological contaminants or volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
- Capable of operating effectively from distances of up to 100 feet (30 meters) or longer, depending on the slope of the inlet water from the source to the unit.

Low-Maintenance and Sustainable TDSS Technology
Pontic Technology’s TDSS systems are designed for low maintenance and sustainability, featuring no filters or moving parts. This innovative technology allows for remote monitoring of operating performance through an app, smartphones, or nearby monitoring stations. In larger regions with multiple systems in operation, performance can also be tracked via the internet using vehicles or aircraft.
Advanced Treatment Processes
Unlike conventional water and fluid treatment technologies, Pontic Technology's TDSS systems utilize multidimensional treatment processes to sterilize water from harmful germs by adjusting the following variables:
Innovative 3DOSS Technology
To illustrate a straightforward method for achieving the desired destruction levels of stable compounds, we have tested a novel approach that incorporates cavitation. This method employs cavitation as the initial source of energy, followed by a selective three-dimensional open-structured substrate (3DOSS). The process continues through a tortuous pathway, facilitating the destruction of toxic chemicals in a single-flow-through step. Preliminary tests have demonstrated this combined process's effectiveness in destroying trihalomethanes (THMs), with chloroform destruction rates reaching 96–98%, compared to only 29-38% in control tests. The design of this innovative approach provides numerous additional opportunities to eliminate and remove various toxic species, with specific modifications in size, shape, and catalytic introduction incorporated into the 3DOSS.
Addressing Current Failures in Water Safety
Public water systems are currently facing disease outbreaks where EPA and state standards are not being met. Even in cases where these standards are upheld, vulnerable populations, including infants, young children, the elderly, and individuals with compromised immune systems—such as those undergoing chemotherapy—remain at risk. Research has shown that some biological contaminants, even in low concentrations, can pose significant health risks to these groups.
Effective Sterilization Through Control Technology
The sterilization of water and other fluids is achieved by varying pressure, temperature, and dwell time through proprietary control technology. Under these specific conditions and without adding any substances to the water or other fluids, all microorganisms and biological contaminants are effectively eliminated.
Continuous Flow Sterilization Assurance
Our technology uniquely offers continuous flow while varying pressure, temperature, and dwell time in real-time, achieving a high level of sterilization assurance validated at 10^-6 or better. This performance surpasses established WHO, EPA, and state standards. Our revolutionary systems significantly outperform current water treatment technologies, including reverse osmosis, ozone, and UV lighting, by utilizing thermal disinfection—a far more effective process for eliminating all types of microorganisms and biological contaminants, including fungi, bacteria, viruses, spore forms, and parasites.
Our Technology and Approach
Our patented and independently validated Thermal Disinfection Sterilization System (TDSS) is transforming the industry. TDSS eliminates microorganisms through a zero-waste, continuous-flow process. With no need for chemicals, filters, or membranes, it outperforms conventional systems such as reverse osmosis, UV light, and ozone treatment. Whether you require 50 gallons per day or millions, TDSS can be scaled to fit your needs.
Pontic Technology offers multiple Thermal Disinfection Sterilization Systems (TDSS) (U.S. Patent No. 9,757,485) that surpass current water treatment methods in microbial destruction. Our thermal disinfection process is more effective than reverse osmosis, ozone, and UV lighting in eliminating biological contaminants.
Available in various configurations—electric (TDSSe), gas (TDSSg), solar electric (TDSSse), solar concentration (TDSSsc), and waste heat utilization (e.g., engine manifold)—our TDSS systems deliver safe, germ-free water, regardless of contamination levels in any water source.
Our innovative 3DOSS technology employs cavitation, followed by a selective three-dimensional open structure substrate, to destroy toxic chemicals in a single, continuous flow. This revolutionary approach simplifies the chemical destruction process, offering a fast, efficient solution to remove harmful substances from water and fluids.
